OUR PROCESS


Here at Marquis we understand building a new home can be very overwhelming so we are here to make your experience as easy and problem free as possible. This step by step process listed is just a guideline of how our process works. Your cooperation in meeting deadlines and communicating with us is key in order to ensure that things run smoothly and problem free. Communication is very important so please do not hesitate to call or email us with any questions or concerns you may have. Remember this is your home and we are here create and design the perfect home you deserve.

STEP 1

CHOOSE YOUR PLAN

We ask that you choose a plan from one of our packages to start. We will modify the structure to fit your needs as you require. We can move walls here, delete bedrooms there, add or delete doors/windows etc. You can also bring us one of your own plans that you may have found yourself. Regardless which plan you decide on we will work together with you to modify the layout to work best for your wants and needs. Once your plan is finalized we will send it in for final drawings, these will be the plans used during construction.

STEP 2

MATERIAL SELECTION

Once your plans are finalized we will meet again with you to sign off on the plans and to go over the colour selection process. This is when you have the chance to meet with our suppliers and start choosing the material selections for your home. You will receive a colour selection package that has a simple detailed list of each item you would need to select. You will fill out the list as you go with the selection process, making it easy for you to keep track of your progress with selections.

STEP 3

Site visits, PDI & MOVE IN

During construction we will have an on site visit to review your electrical and smart wire needs. We will coordinate a time directly with you. We ask that you coordinate any further site visits during construction through our office. Approximately 1 week prior to move in we will arrange a Pre Delivery Inspection (PDI). This is an on-site meeting to walk through the home and sign required documentation prior to closing!

STEP 4

AFTER SALES SERVICE

Once you have moved into your new home we are always here to help. Let us know if there are any major items that require immediate attention! We will get these items looked after ASAP. If you have any smaller less significant items please complete and email us a list 30 days after closing.  This allows us to manage the items in a most efficient manner and minimizes disruptions in your daily schedule.
